Well autumn is finally here and I’m excited because it’s my favourite season of the year! The time of the year when I can indulge my love of warm, rich autumnal colours such as rust, beige, brown & burgundy. The hot colour trend this season is power red which I’m thrilled about because I love wearing it in all shades and it suits my colouring.
“There is a shade of red for every woman.”

Power Red on the Catwalk
Red was shown in abundance during London Fashion Week by designers including Simone Rocha and Burberry with Armani showing my favourite colour combination of black, white and red. The trend now is to dress in bright, bold reds from head-to-toe including shoes and accessories so you can be a walking ‘siren’.
At Milan Fashion Week, Max Mara showcased four head-to-toe crimson looks , while Fendi outfitted each model in red shades and Kendall Jenner in a sleek red coat. I’m loving Carolina Herrera’s knee length, funnel neck coat dress in bright, bold red as well as Victoria Beckham’s eye catching, floaty, ruffled red dress with a shirt collar – perfect worn with a tailored black blazer.
Hit the High Street
On the high street, Zara have a gorgeous zip-up, three quarter length sleeve, red sixties style coat for €79.95 which you can pair with black leather ankle boots with pointed toe and frill detail for €69.95 to rock this season’s latest colour trend.
Oasis stock the ultimate red suit jacket for €85 which is a must to liven up your office wardrobe as well as a faux leather Lucy biker jacket for €72, perfect worn with skinny black jeans and ankle boots.
Wearing red always makes me feel confident and it’s a great colour for brunettes. I usually like to combine red with black because it’s such a classic look and you can’t go wrong.
